Its been quite awhile since Ive posted here and much has happened since then in Hamtone world!

Well my hometown basketball team the Milwaukee Bucks won the championship this past July! Its been 50yrs since that happened and thus the city was nuts! Super exciting to have worked audio for those legendary games! It was quite a party at Bucks home base Fiserv Forum! Im getting my ring any day now and am quite excited about that! We are halfway into the new season and hopefully they can repeat that same feat this year. Also have been mixing/doing audio support stuff for other various events there. Go catch a game or a concert there its really a great venue!

In addition to Fiserv Forum; its was great to be able to mix at Summerfest again albeit 3 months later than that festival usually is. It was my 20th year mixing that legendary festival and around 10yrs that Ive been A1 Audio Engineer at US Cellular Stage. I also mixed at Irish Fest and my favorite festival, Mexican Fiesta. Come visit me and say hi!

Since day one of the major Covid lockdown; Ive been the busiest I have been in years as far as recording projects go. Producing, engineering records by various international, regional and local touring artists including 20 Watt Tombstone, Beatallica, Velocihamster, The Blues Disciples, Jonny T-Bird and the MPs, Lost Orange Cat, Julie Brandenburg, Lapulele, 5 Card Studs, Billy Dreamer, Mea Jima, Tommy Odetto, Floor Model, John Kruth, StradlinRosie, Ice Island and others! It was especially gratifying to finally see the release of local legend Chris Tishler’s first solo record ‘Reach for the Sun’. The record was supposed to be released over a year ago but Covid hit and thus the release was postponed until this past Fall. Its a fantastic, intimate record by a really great musician and artist. Chris played all the instruments (and did the artwork) and had a few notable guests including Betty from Testa Rosa, Liv Mueller, Brian Ritchie of Violent Femmes, John Kruth and others. It is on rotation at 88.9FM and 91.7FM here in Milwaukee so request a track! Chris also happens play the role of Phil Lynott in our super fun, rarely play out tribute band; Then Lizzy. We may actually play a show this year! Keep you posted…

In addition to working audio at Fiserv Forum and producing/engineering records at Hamtone Audio Studios; I have done some commercial audio installs at various bars and venues around the greater Milwaukee area including Cleveland Pub, Boone and Crockett, The Diplomat and Highbury Pub. Please visit all of these great places for a drink, fine food or a show!

And last but always where this all started; my music career has been doing great as well! Beatallica got signed to a new label and two booking agencies and are hitting the road in spring with other tours to follow. Canada, continental USA and Europe are places to look for us this year! Beatallica recorded here at Hamtone Audio w me producing and we just released ‘The Devolver Album’ on Metal Assault Records! Pick up a copy, its really good! I have played many shows over the past couple years w regional touring singer songwriter Matt MF Tyner either as a duo or w his band Pawnshop Gigalos. Super fun to lay down outlaw country riffs and to also bust out my mandolin. Watch for us around Wisconsin!

Well that’s it for now

Cheers and thanks for visiting!
